Nature and purpose of the processing:

When you access our website, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise submit information, information of a general nature is collected automatically. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, your IP address and other similar details.

It is used, in particular, for the following purposes:

  • ensuring that establishing a connection with the website is problem-free,
  • ensuring effortless use of our website,
  • evaluation of system security and stability, as well as
  • for other administrative purposes.

We do not use your data to draw any conclusions about you personally. This type of information is analysed by us or statistically analysed, as required, in order to optimise our internet presence and the underlying technology.

Legal basis:

The processing is carried our pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

Recipients:

Recipients of the data may be, where necessary, technical contractors who act as processors for the operation and maintenance of our website.

Storage period:

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. Generally speaking, for data which is used for the provision of the website, this means when the respective session is ended.

Mandatory or necessary provision:

There is no statutory or contractual requirement to provide the aforementioned personal data. However, without the IP address, the service and functionality of our website cannot be guaranteed. Individual services may also be restricted or unavailable. For this reason, objection is not possible.

Cookies

Nature and purpose of the processing:

Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone etc.) when you visit our website.

As a result, we receive specific data, such as the IP address, browser used and operating system.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or to transfer viruses onto a computer. By using the information contained in the cookies, we can make navigation easier and enable our websites to be displayed correctly.

Under no circumstances will the data we have collected be passed to third parties nor will it be linked with other personal data without your consent.

You can, of course, also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are routinely set up so that you have to accept cookies. Generally speaking, you can disable the use of cookies in your browser settings at any point. Please check your browser’s help functions to see how you can change these settings. Please note that some individual functions on our website may not work if you have disabled the use of cookies.

Use of script libraries (Google web fonts)

Nature and purpose of the processing:

In order to display our content correctly and in a graphically appealing way across all browsers, we use “Google web fonts” by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”) for displaying fonts.

You will find the privacy policy for the library operator Google here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Legal basis:

The legal basis for the inclusion of Google web fonts and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Recipients:

Accessing script libraries or font libraries automatically initiates a connection with the operator of the library. By doing this, it is theoretically possible that the operator, in this case Google, could collect data. However, it is currently unclear whether and for what purpose, if any, they would do this.

Storage period:

We do not collect any personal data through the inclusion of Google web fonts.

You will find further information about Google web fonts under https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy notice: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Transfer to a third country:

Google processes your data in the USA and is subject to the EU_US Privacy Shield. https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Mandatory or necessary provision:

There is no statutory or contractual requirement to provide personal data. However, without the correct display of standard fonts, the content cannot be provided.

Withdrawal of consent:

The programming language JavaScript is routinely used to display website content. You can object to the data processing by disabling the execution of JavaScript in your browser or by installing a JavaScript blocker. Please note that doing so may result in functional restrictions on the website.

SSL encryption

In order to protect your data during transfer we use state-of-the-art encryption processes (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Amendment of our privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy notice to ensure that it always complies with current legal requirements or in order to incorporate changes to our services in the privacy notice, e.g. following the introduction of new services. The new privacy notice will then apply the next time you visit the website.
